Is this a chemical burn? When will it heal?

today, while I was doing my nails, I spilled a spoonful (about) of nail polish between my thieghs. NOw, on each leg there is a rectanglular red irritation. M y dad says It is a mild chemical burn, but I looked up chemicals burns and I'm not so shure. I rubbed some pink stuff on my legs , but I didn't feel anything in the first palace. It is not dark and is faded. What is it. When will it heal?
