3 year old should i be worried?

my son will be 3 next month . he has his own speech meaning he does talk somewhat . like stop no yes i play hold me i love you bye bye . yummy . i eat it . things like that. he calls himself clark which is his name and knows our names and poppy ! my concern is he echos questions . like clark how old are you ... he s says how are you? what color is this ... " what color is this ''. only sometime will i get a responce to my question. he echos everything . he plays well with kids and is loving . he always makes eye contact as well. he points and waves and has to be the center of attention. he is an only child and has never been in day care. is he just slow or what
