He tells me personal stuff and only likes me as a friend?

There's this guy. We've been good friends for awhile. He knows a lot about me and my past. He's very sweet and feels sympathy for me. But awhile ago, he had a girlfriend who was lying to him. And I told him, and he got "deeply offended" and did not believe me. He found out I really liked him. We got in a huge fight and almost stopped talking. Its been a couple months and he says I'm "pretty, nice, sweet, kind, caring, funny, random, and did I mention FUNNY?" he tells me stuff like that. And he tells me really personal stuff about his life. He tells me everything. H e told me " Your a caring person. Thats why I Like you. As a friend." He really doesn't show any interest in any other girl. So whats the deal? Does he really not like me, and he just trusts me? Or does he actually like me and is embaressed or something? And tell me the truth. I really don't care. Its just bothering me. I wanna know whats up. Okay, bye.
